The backlash of appeasing to religion

July 8, 2008 · 2 Comments

freedom of religion of freedom from religion?  as you know, i dont believe in freedom of religion unless your religion falls firmly in the customs and laws of your governing country and your governing country is separate from any religious body.  basically, i dont like religion.

this woman, Bushra Noah, sporting a lovely blue head scarf and what appears to be my grandmas jacket from the 80s applied for a hairdressers position with this woman

Clearly a bad move.  The trendy salon across the way would never hire someone WHO COVERS THEIR HAIR!!.  this isnt about its a god dam salon.  anyways, she sued the salon for “INJURY TO FEELINGS” and won about $8K in court!!!

You’re a moron. Would it be okay for a salon with an all white clientele to not hire a black hairdresser? I don’t see how the woman’s appearance has anything to do with her ability to cut hair. On the other hand, a fat model’s weight would certainly make modeling tiny clothing difficult. You’re not very smart.

religion is a choice, race is not. her appearance conveys her sense of style and the style of her salon. these are all choices she made.
